- The flavors of coffee from different growing regions vary because each region has distinct climate conditions and soil composition, leading to unique flavor characteristics.

2. Purpose:

- Understanding how the origin of coffee influences its flavor helps coffee lovers appreciate the diversity in coffee profiles. This knowledge allows them to explore and enjoy the unique tastes that different regions offer and to choose coffees based on their preferred flavor profiles. Additionally, it provides insight into why certain coffees taste the way they do, enriching the overall coffee experience.

3. Example:

- For example, Arabica coffee from Ethiopia’s Yirgacheffe region is known for its bright acidity, floral aromas, and citrusy notes due to the high altitude and specific soil composition. In contrast, Arabica coffee from Colombia’s Huila region tends to have a balanced acidity, a fuller body, and notes of caramel and red fruit, influenced by its unique growing conditions and processing methods. Comparing these two Arabicas highlights how the environment in each region can significantly impact the final flavor profile, even within the same species of coffee.

"COVID initiated an unexpected crisis, causing the world to stall and shut down. Thus, we must live slower and capture the best moments in the darkest of times. I wondered whether my love for coffee has ripened over this period. I began devoting my time and passion towards researching the field of specialty coffee.
